Financial Plan

Profit on paper does not mean cash in the bank.

Your financial plan must answer three questions: How much capital do you need, is the project financially viable, and can you pay your bills on time? To do this, capital requirements, profitability, and liquidity are planned separately and coordinated.

What remains in the account?

Opening balance
12.000 €
+ Inflows
8.000 €
− Outflows
17.000 €
= Closing balance
3.000 €

The crucial factor is when money is received and when payments are due.

Capital requirements · Profitability · Liquidity

Three plans that are interconnected.

For founders and companies with investment plans, financing requests, or unclear liquidity development.

01

Capital requirements: What does the start cost?

Record investments, working capital, start-up costs, and initial losses. Add a reserve appropriate to the situation.

02

Profitability: Is the business sustainable?

Compare expected revenues with costs. Explain price, sales volume, capacity utilisation, and personnel costs.

03

Liquidity: When will cash be tight?

Plan inflows and outflows by month. Payment terms, taxes, and repayments can affect the account balance, even if the business appears profitable.

Your preparation

You can bring the following.

  • Quotations for purchases and overview of ongoing costs
  • Prices, sales assumptions, and capacities
  • Existing loans, own funds, and payment terms
  • For existing companies: available BWA (business evaluations), annual financial statements, and current planning
Our specific work

We will work on this with you.

  • Jointly review investment, revenue, and cost assumptions
  • Build liquidity, profitability, and financing consistently
  • Identify bottlenecks and calculate alternative scenarios
  • Prepare planning documents for the bank, funding agency, or internal management
A plan always depends on its assumptions. Deviations should be included in ongoing analysis and not concealed by optimistic figures.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between profit and liquidity?

Profit results from income and expenses. Liquidity describes whether there is enough cash available at a given time to meet due payments.

Is an annual total sufficient?

For the start-up phase and potential cash shortfalls, a monthly review is helpful. The requirements of the financing partner must also be considered.

Do you also provide support with controlling after the start?

Yes. The existing advisory services also cover key figures, target/actual comparisons, and financial management.

What does working together cost?

The initial consultation is free of charge. For further services, scope and costs are agreed before engagement. Whether funding is possible depends on your case and the necessary approval.

What happens after I submit my enquiry?

In the financing check, you describe your current situation. In a personal discussion, outstanding points and the required documents are clarified. Afterwards, it can be determined which work is appropriate.

Can I start with incomplete documents?

Yes. Bring any drafts you have and a list of your open questions. Missing information and assumptions will be explicitly identified and added as the process continues.
